Who “IS” Kevin Andrew Rivera???
If you don’t find Kevin talking to himself inside a 4x4 box, he’s probably being the biggest dork in the world somewhere else. You might spot him on Tatooine, swinging a lightsaber and fighting off Sand People! Let’s be honest, he’s probably on the dark side (they have cookies!). Or maybe you’ll find him shooting Ki Blasts up in the mountains, battling super beings who want to blow up the planet. Better yet, he might be in New York City, trying to snap pictures of Spider-Man.
No matter where he is, you can always count on Kevin to eat the last Krispy Kreme donut before you get the chance to try it.
Growing up in Puerto Rico until he was 7, Kevin constantly freaked out his parents by sneaking off in the mall to check out all the video game stores. He was surrounded by art, theater, and music all his life.
His family eventually moved to Connecticut in hopes of an even brighter future. A couple of years later, his older sister got involved in her school play, “The King and I.” Little 12-year-old Kevin’s eyes lit up with inspiration. All he could think was, “I WANNA DO THAT!” (He was also thinking about chicken, but that’s not the point.) Little did he know that the acting world was about to be his calling.
Kevin attended the University of Connecticut and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. His conservatory training helped him sharpen his skills at a young age. After finding a passion for voice acting, he saved some money, bought a few Nintendo games along the way, and moved to the West Coast.
Based in Los Angeles, Kevin has been exposed to plenty of talented coaches and colleagues, including Mami Okada, Ezra Weisz, Shawn Gann, Jennifer Hale, Tony Oliver, Courtenay Taylor, Rick Wasserman, and Joe Zieja.
When it comes to performing VO in Spanish, Kevin specializes in Span-Glish! (A mix between English and Spanish) Check out his Span-Glish Demo here!
Along with English commercials and e-learning, you can hear Kevin in animations like Pokemon’s Path to the Peak as Tonio. The Indie Nominated Podcast, For Blood or Justice, starring Danny Trejo, Tara Strong, and Eric Bauza. Rooster Teeth’s Death Battle episodes, like Joker vs. Giorno, Dimitri vs. Guts, etc.
Notable interactive credits include Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail as Shenza, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster as Adam MacIntyre the Killer Clown, and Paladins as Androxus - Eliminate.
Notable dubbing credits include Beyblade X (Netflix / Hulu) as Blaze Fujiwara, Undead Unluck (Shonen Anime) as Chikara Shigeno, Ishura as Lord Hidow the Clamp (Hulu), Angel Di Maria: Breaking Down the Wall (Netflix) as Angel Di Maria, and Bandidos (Netflix) as Ariel.
